Watchdog focuses on Packet's customers

The Isle of Man's travel watchdog says it’s not concerned about the Steam Packet Company's change of ownership.

TravelWatch says the important thing is that services are maintained and the ferry firm's customer service is at an acceptable level.

Chairman of the organisation Brendan O'Friel says most passengers won't notice that the company is now effectively owned by a consortium of European banks.

He says the important issue is what happens at the sharp end of the business, rather than changes at boardroom level and above:
