MOTORISTS in Peel are being asked to take extra care after new road layouts were introduced this morning.
Derby Road is now one-way from the junction with Mona Street to Athol Place.
Christian Street is now one-way up from Athol Place to its junction with Church Street. Priority is now given to vehicles coming from Church Street, so the vehicle coming up Christian Street must give way.
Inspector Will Campbell said: "The new layout is well signed and any competent driver should be able to understand and comply.
"Workers from The Department of Infrastructure are presently in the town completing the signage etc and I would ask motorists to take extra care whilst the work is completed."
The road layout is part of long-term road improvements for Peel.
