Island miss promotion and Clague resigns

by isleofman.com 6th April 2011

The Isle of Man badminton team shared the points with Durham in their final fixtures of the season but narrowly missed out on promotion to Division Three.

They lost 6/9 on Saturday but turned the score around on Sunday, winning 9/6.

However, Durham take the title and move up as they won more sets than the Manx squad over the whole season.

In addition, team manager Geoff Clague has resigned due to what he terms an 'untenable situation developing'.
