MOORE STEPHENS will sponsor the Western (Isle of Man) Photographic Society's Annual Open and Photographer of the Year competition, for the second year running.
The competition will take place on Thursday, April 28, at 8pm at The Glen Helen Inn and Moore Stephens will present the Image of the Year Trophy.
Anton Cashen, the director of Moore Stephens Trust Company Limited, said: "We're only too happy to provide sponsorship for the competition. We're sure it will be even more competitive than last year with judging by eminent and much respected UK photographic judge Christine Widdall, president of the Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union."
Eddie Fryer, president of the Western Photographic Society, said: "The club would like to give its sincere thanks to Moore Stephens Isle of Man for continuing to support our annual competition.
"We're excited about the event which will no doubt have some extremely high calibre entries. Christine will also judge entries from Moore Stephens Isle of Man as part of an informal contest."
The Western (IOM) Photographic Society was founded in 1979. It is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union.
Christine Widall will give a public lecture entitled “Playing the Rules” on Friday, April 29, at 7.30pm, also at the Glen Helen Inn. Tickets are £8 and include a finger buffet. They can be purchased from Doreen Kelly by telephoning 07624 413426.
