Public opinion on GP surgery at Michael School to be studied

by isleofman.com 5th April 2011

80 RESPONSES have been received over a proposal to base Ramsey GPs in Michael Primary School, Kirk Michael.

The Department of Education and Children invited members of the public to comment on the plans by the end of last week.

80 responses were received and of those 49 (62 percent) were not in favour of the plans. 31 (38 percent) supported the proposal.

The Department of Health will now evaluate the feedback and will make a further announcement in due course.

Ramsey GPs currently operate out of Cannan Court sheltered housing complex, when they hold surgeries in the area.

The department thanked the Michael Commissioners and Michael Primary School for gathering views and for residents who took the time to make their opinions felt.
