Man rescued from fishing vessel

Isle of Man coastguard helped a crewman who fell ill off the south east of the Island yesterday evening (Saturday).

A rescue helicopter from RAF Valley in Anglesey was called out after a crewman on a fishing vessel suffered severe abdominal pains.

He was flown to Noble’s Hospital for treatment.

The operation was co-ordinated by the Island’s marine operations centre with Liverpool Coastguard.
