Seven months after the Isle of Man's reciprocal health agreement with the UK was restored, the deal is now back in place in Jersey.
It means Jersey residents will not have to pay for NHS treatment in the UK, likewise UK visitors if they fall ill in Jersey.
A new agreement between the UK and Jersey was signed on Friday morning by the Island's Health and Social services minister Anne Pryke.
Jersey 's reciprocal agreement was dissolved in 2009, when the UK Department of Health said it was not value for money.
The loss of the agreement here prompted a vociferous public campaign for its restoration, which was achieved last September.
That opened the door for Jersey to push its case. Deputy Anne Pryke said it had taken a 'great deal of work' by officials in both Jersey and London.
But a reciprocal health agreement between Guernsey and the UK still has not been re-drawn.
That's because the way the health service is run in Jersey and the UK is different from Guernsey.
Last week, Guernsey's delegate to the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly resigned in protest at the failure to reinstate the deal.
