by isleofman.com 2nd April 2011

St John’s are JCK Division Two champions.

The dominant side in the division not only sealed promotion but clinched the title at the same time as they maintained their 100 per cent record with a 3-0 victory at Pulrose – Steven Glover, Mike Peace and Callum Gallagher the scorers.

Union Mills’ hopes of gaining the other promotion spot suffered a major setback as Onchan won 3-2 at Garey Mooar.

Goals from Stevie Faragher, Paul Davis and Rob Callow fired them to victory.

Steven Quine netted one in each half for the Millers but it wasn’t enough.

Douglas and District pushed the Police hard but were pipped 2-1, Scott Smith and David Brew grabbing the goals.

Braddan were also given a scare before emerging 5-3 winners over basement battlers Ronaldsway.

Doubles from Lee Ramsden and Shane Larkin and a James Cain penalty secured the points.

Two goals from Richard Mulhearn, one from Juan Killip and an own goal secured Marown a 4-2 win at Foxdale in the western derby.

Anthony Corkill and John Kelly Were on target for the home side.

• A double from Nick Hurt and one from Danny Bell gave the Isle of Man national side a 3-1 win at Knowsley South in a friendly as they warmed up for next week’s clash with the Lancashire Amateur League in the Inter-League Cup.
