ISLEOFMAN.COM has launched an Apple news app to cater for the growing number of mobile internet users that own the US giant's fashionable devices.

Available free for iPhone, iPod and iPad the app features the 10 latest articles from isleofman.com’s principal newsrooms – Local, Business, Entertainment, Sport, Charity and Lifestyle.

Gavin Smith, general manager of isleofman.com said: "We've noticed month-on-month increases in mobile access to the site, with Apple products accounting for 70 percent of such traffic.

"Developing our new Apple news app allows these users to access our news content in real time and in a presentation format best suited for smaller screens. From an article they can also share our content across Facebook, Twitter and email which further assists onward distribution."
