The chairman of Michael Commissioners is rejecting a claim a consultation exercise in the village could be open to manipulation.
The local authority wants people to give their opinions about using part of Michael Primary School as a surgery for GPs, in place of the current facilities at Cannan Court.
Residents are being invited to fill in a survey form at the commissioners' offices during the next few weeks, to show what they think of the idea, but Michael MHK David Cannan fears the papers could be photocopied by people keen to falsify the results.
Steve Hamer has written to Mr Cannan saying how surprised he is by that suggestion, adding that online consultations carried out by government are also based on trust:
