A BOWLING tournament to celebrate the opening of a new bowling alley in Ramsey will be held on Saturday.

Sure Cable and Wireless are holding the Wii bowling event at Sure shops in Ramsey and Douglas to mark the Easter opening of Sure Strike Bowling and Leisure Centre.

Rose Dahlan, marketing and PR manager at Sure, said: "Sure are proud to support this much awaited indoor family recreation facility. We are always committed to investing in the local community and Sure Strike demonstrates this.

"To celebrate we wanted to do something big that would get Islanders excited about the new Bowling Centre. In this day and age, with so many of us enthralled in new technology, we thought a Wii bowling tournament would be a good way to get people of all ages involved.

"There are definitely some champion Wii bowlers out there so why not come down and show us your skills."

The Wii tournament will take place on Saturday, April 2, between 11am and 4pm. It is free to enter and prizes include a brand new bowling ball and four tickets to Sure Strike. The winner will be announced on Monday, April 4.

The Sure Strike Bowling and Leisure Centre will feature 10 bowling lanes as well as a soft play area, games zone, gym and a bar/restaurant.
