Union official on pay gap between sexes

There's a big gap between pay for men and women in the Isle of Man, according to the latest government earnings survey.

Treasury statistics show that while manual workers of the two genders get roughly the same amount, there's a wide disparity for those in non-manual roles.

According to the figures, men in non-manual jobs earn around ?4 an hour more than women.

Angela Moffatt from the union Prospect says, in an age of equality, there are a number of reasons why the gap seems so wide:
