Alliance and Leicester International Lions win squash D league

by isleofman.com 28th March 2011

WITH the last round of scheduled fixtures played last week the league situation is not as clear cut as it should be.

With the A League teams agreeing not to reschedule their weather affected matches from before Christmas, Davrost finish in top spot ahead of last year's winners Island Restorations.

The 12 teams outside the top flight played each other once in a B league before splitting into three groups of four to contest home and away matches in Leagues C, D and E. Jewel Tech finished at the head of the B League.

With two of the C league teams failing to fulfil the majority of their fixtures it may be left to league organisers to determine the outcome.

There is no such dilemma in the D League where Alliance & Leicester International Lions finished their campaign with an emphatic win to seal the title.

The official posting of the E League table will determine which of the two BRW Racketeers sides finishes top.

Currently the Racketeers head the table but with one result outstanding for the Academy side they could still topple their senior rivals.
