Treasury Minister Anne Craine says the census held yesterday (Sunday) will provide vital information for future government planning.
There's a legal obligation to take part in the census, which will provide a 'snapshot' of those who were on the Island last night, and a fairly accurate picture of how the Island is made up.
However, Mrs Craine is reminding people that filling in the census form doesn't mean they are registered on the electoral role:
