Charity collectors are legal

by isleofman.com 26th March 2011

A group of charity collectors who will be going around the Isle of Man during the next fortnight are reassuring the public they are legitimate.

The volunteers are from the Adventist Development and Relief Agency - or ADRA.

The organisation works in more than 120 countries around the world, in particular to help people rebuild their lives after disasters and conflicts.

The collections started today (Saturday) and people may be knocking on your door asking for whatever you can afford to give.

Noel Apugan, who's leading the campaign over here, says it's a genuine cause.
