School head and pupils on the run!

by isleofman.com 26th March 2011

Around 200 pupils from a Douglas school will be putting their best feet forward for a good cause on Sunday on Douglas promenade.

The youngsters from Cronk-y-Berry primary will be clocking-up as many marathons as they can between them, walking or running a one mile 'lap' between the bottle neck car park and the war memorial.

Their head teacher Rob Sellors has set himself the task of completing an entire marathon on his own - running the full length of the prom and back NINE TIMES.

It's been organised by the parents group Berry Buddies, in support of the charity Children WIth Leukaemia.

Mr Sellors says it will be quite a spectacle:

The event takes place between 10am and 2pm.
