MHK's legislative concerns

East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw is worried the Isle of Man's legislation is in danger of overwhelming it like a tsunami'.

He was talking after his concerns over proposed amendments to the 1934 Land Drainage Act led to chairman of the Water Authority Tim Crookall withdrawing the measure for the time being, to allow for further discussion.

Mr Robertshaw agreed the legislation needed to be revised, but said significant problems hadn't been addressed.

He is also concerned about the way in which government is addressing legislative issues:
