Flooding bill is held up

Water Authority chairman Tim Crookall MHK hopes plans to control how the government deals with incidents of flooding will be soon move closer to being law.

After a consultation carried out by the drainage division of the former Department of Transport, the matter was placed into the hands of the authority.

However, it has been put on hold after concerns raised by East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw who believes the bill goes too far (first part of audio file):
