by isleofman.com 24th March 2011

TICKETS for the Westlife concert at the Manx Telecom Bay Festival sold out within 40 minutes yesterday.

The Irish band will headline the last night of the festival on Sunday, June 19, and will be supported by Example and Cascada.

4,500 tickets were originally available with around 2,000 of these selling in under an hour on Monday when they went on sale to Manx Telecom customers.

The remaining tickets went on sale yesterday (Wednesday) morning and sold within 40 minutes.

According to the festival organisers Westlife's management "immediately agreed to the release of some more seating and standing tickets to try and accommodate demand" – which also sold out.

To meet demand a "final release of additional tickets" have gone on sale this morning. However organisers say once they are sold there will be no more.

Tickets for the concert start from £45. They can be purchased from www.hmvtickets.com or via the ticket hotline on 01624 600600.
