Average pay up 3.4 per cent

THE average pay for full time employees rose by 3.4 per cent to £591 per week in 2010, a report shows.

 

Treasury's annual earning survey shows the increase from June 2009 to June 2010.

 

The report reveals half of full-time employees earned more than £493 per week and on average full-time employees worked 37.5 hours per week.

 

Average earnings in the Island were 1.3 per cent less than in the United Kingdom.

 

The survey is of gross earnings before deductions for income tax and national insurance.
