TONIGHT'S (Tuesday's) performance of Anything Goes at the Gaiety Theatre, Douglas, has been cancelled.
This is due to a burst water pipe that has damaged the emergency lighting system operating within the theatre, the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure said.
A replacement part has been ordered to repair the damage and will be installed as soon as possible.
However the department said it is unable to confirm that future performances of Anything Goes - which is being staged by the Manx Operatic Society - will be able to take place as scheduled.
A further announcement will be made by noon tomorrow in respect of tomorrow night's performance.
All ticket holders for tonight's performance are being contacted.
The Villa Marina and Villa Marina Arcade have not been affected.
