THE body of a man has been found on the beach at Perwick Bay, Port St Mary.

It was discovered at 11am yesterday (Sunday) by a member of the public.

Police officers attended the scene and the body was taken to Noble's Hospital.

Detective Sergeant Andy Pailor of the Public Protection Unit said: "Although the death is unexplained at present it is not being treated as suspicious."

No further details will be released until the next of kin have been informed.
