Douglas man in Hailwood memorial

by isleofman.com 19th March 2011

Racing legend Mike Hailwood will be remembered on Sunday, 30 years after he and his daughter were killed in a road accident.

Hundreds of motorcyclists are taking part in an annual memorial run for the 14-time TT winner, based near his former home in Birmingham.

Chris Smith of Douglas will be riding a replica Hailwood machine in the run, which begins at the former Norton Works.
