The Peel Charity Shop celebrates its tenth anniversary today (Friday), with a charity giveaway.
Twenty organisations from the west of the Island will each receive a thousand pounds, all from money raised through the sale of donated items at the premises, on the town's promenade.
There will also be a larger, as yet undisclosed, sum which will help pay for refurbishment work at the Corrin Memorial Home.
Representatives of the chosen organisations will be presented with cheques during a coffee morning at the Corrin Hall, next to the cathedral, from 10am.
The Peel Charity Shop is run entirely by volunteers, of whom there are about 40.
