Moffatt says others could follow CWU's lead

A strike by postal workers in the Isle of Man could lead to a wave of other workers following suit, according to a retired trade union official.

Bernard Moffatt had union experience through five decades from the 1960s, and was heavily involved the last time the Isle of Man witnessed strikes, in the 1980s.

Yesterday (Wednesday) post office staff who are members of the Communication Workers Union voted overwhelmingly to strike over a pay dispute.

Mr Moffatt says history shows that will encourage others to take similar action:
