Gay rights updated after '20-year battle'

Gay couples in the Isle of Man will soon be able to form civil partnerships, after new laws were signed in Tynwald.

From April 6, they will have the same rights as married couples regarding inheritance, pensions and tax allowances.

The bill was taken through the House of Keys by Ramsey MHK Allan Bell, who says gay rights have been brought into line with the United Kingdom after a 20-year battle:
