The son of the Island's bishop believes the final death toll in the Japanese eathquake and tsunami disaster will be very high.
Freelance reporter Simeon Paterson was in Tokyo on holiday when the massive quake struck last Friday.
Since then he has been helping local media and Sky News by reporting from some of the towns and villages destroyed by the giant waves.
Mr Paterson has told Manx Radio not many people are in the evacuation centres, which is why he fears current estimates of casualties are conservative:
