Public asked for their views on their favourite Spring birds

by isleofman.com 16th March 2011

MANX BirdLife is asking members of the public which birds people most look forward to seeing - or hearing - in the Island in Spring.

As the Island's winter bird visitors such as Waxwings and Whooper Swans leave to return to their summer homes, a new wave of birds will be arriving and resident birds will be getting ready for the new breeding season.

Possible favourites could be Rooks re-building their nests or seabirds returning to their nesting sites around the Island or it might be listening to the first songs of Chiffchaff and Blackcap.

Manx BirdLife is inviting everyone to share their thoughts by going to manxbirdlife.im and clicking on the link.
