The Isle of Man's attorney general says there is potential for conflict within his role as legal adviser to the Crown and the Manx government.
John Corlett told Tynwald he wasn't aware of such a situation ever arising, but if it did the person occupying his position would have to advise the Crown.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran said it could be difficult for the Island's attorney general to separate the two responsibilities, particularly if there was a serious conflict of interests.
