A report into the Cork air accident which left six people dead is due to be published this week.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch is due to release its preliminary findings into the incident, which involved a metroliner aircraft operated by Spanish airline Flightline BCN for Manx2.com.
The flight, from Belfast, had ten passengers and two crew aboard when it crashed, flipped over and caught fire, while making a landing in heavy fog.
The survivors have told the Irish press they plan to launch a legal case which could see payouts of up to a hundred million euros.
The action will be taken on behalf of the survivors of the crash and the families who lost loved ones in it.
They plan to sue airline Manx2.com, the Spanish operator which operated the flight Flightline BCN, and the plane's American manufacturer, Fairchild Swearingen in Texas.
James Healy-Pratt, partner at Stewarts Law in London, says his firm has been working with the victims and families of those who died.
In an interview in the Irish press, he says he hopes the case can be finished in two years.
