by isleofman.com 14th March 2011

THE Fire and Rescue Service attended a kitchen fire at a property in Ramsey last night (Sunday).

It happened at 8.20pm in Nassau Road.

A Fire service spokesman said one crew dealt with the fire - which was confined to the kitchen and dining area of the property - while a second crew searched the first and second floors for a number of missing cats and dogs.

All of the animals were subsequently found or had made their own way out of the property.

Two people were treated at the scene by paramedics for minor smoke inhalation.
