Forty Isle of Man residents preparing to take part in an historic event this Easter are finding out more about it today (Saturday).
They have been invited to a lecture at St German's Cathedral in Peel, given by the Bishop of Manchester, the Right Reverend Nigel McCulloch.
His subject, the Royal Maundy, is primarily for those who have been chosen to receive Maundy money from the Queen to mark her 85th birthday.
Manx Radio's religious affairs correspondent Judith Ley says the bishop's talk will cover both procedure and the event's history (play audio file):
The lecture runs from 10am to 12 noon, and the subject will feature in Thursday's Perspective on Manx Radio, from just after 6pm.
