Social Care Minister Martyn Quayle says one of the biggest pressures facing his department is the ever-increasing number of pensioners in the Isle of Man.
Mr Quayle is pledging to maintain frontline services, despite the department cutting ?1 million from its budget for the coming financial year.
According to the latest figures, the number of people eligible for a state pension rose by over five per cent in the last year.
