Local businessman David Dorricott is calling for the Isle of Man to be included in plans to reduce fuel duty in some British communities.
He believes the United Kingdom chancellor's proposals for the likes of the Isles of Scilly and the Western Isles of Scotland should apply here too.
George Osborne aims to reduce fuel duty by 5p per litre, subject to approval by the European Union.
