Running and walking to raise money for Hospice

by isleofman.com 9th March 2011

THE Island's Hospice is set for some big cash donations after a number of people signed up to walk and run for the charity.

Margie Mylrea is planning on taking part in four walking events this year including the Sara Killey Memorial Walk, the Scottish Widows Parish Walk to Peel, the Hospice Midnight Walk and the Ramsey Bakery End to End walk.

If Margie completes the challenge she will have walked 115.5 miles in total.

A group of residents will also run the London Marathon in aid of the charity. Chris Reynolds, Sabine Corkill, Rebecca Wallace, Alexandra Withington and Paul Wood will all undertake the 26.2 mile run in April.
