E-Gaming law and regulation to be discussed by ICSA

E-GAMING law and regulation will be highlighted in a presentation organised by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).

 

Claire Milne, a partner at Appleby Isle of Man, will present on Tuesday, March 29, at the Palace Hotel.

 

Claire is the local team leader for intellectual property and telecommunications and technology teams and is the chair of the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.

 

She has experience both in-house and in private practice of all aspects of contentious and non-contentious IP rights across the spectrum. Claire has also dealt with all aspects of commercialisation of Intellectual Property Rights including licensing of patents to large pharmaceutical companies, large scale research and development agreements, clinical trials agreements, trade mark registrations and licensing, domain name and trade mark infringement actions.

 

Gillian Prestwich, ICSA Isle of Man council chairman said: "We are delighted to have Appleby's backing for both this event and the presentation by the Isle of Man Data Protection Supervisor Iain McDonald earlier in the month. We are indebted for such support to help maintain a broad and regular calendar of activities."

 

The presentation will start at 6pm in the Shearwater Suite at the Palace Hotel and Casino in Douglas. Admission is free to members. Places for non-members (subject to availability) are £10 each.
