TravelWatch meeting to discuss issues for future MHKs

by isleofman.com 9th March 2011

THE next TravelWatch public meeting will focus on passenger issues that may be raised with candidates standing for the House of Keys.

The meeting, to be held on Saturday, March 19, will focus on any travel issues which need to be raised before the forthcoming General Election.

Anyone wishing to attend the meeting is asked to indicate the issues that they see as priorities by visiting the TravelWatch website before the meeting.

If you are unable to attend the meeting you can take part in an on-line survey to air your views.

The director of public transport, Ian Longworth, will also attend the meeting to give an update on transport matters in the Island

TravelWatch organises public meetings twice a year to give passengers an opportunity to air their ideas and concerns and to meet the people who have responsibility for providing and ensuring the availability of passenger transport to and from and in the Island.

The spring TravelWatch meeting will be held on Saturday, March 19, at the Villa Marina. Doors open at 9.30am with the meeting expected to start at 10.15am. Admission is free but donations will be welcomed.
