THIS year's Manx Wearable Art Show will raise money for The Children's Centre.
It takes place at 7.30pm on Friday, April 1 at the Strand Shopping Centre in Douglas.
The organisers are inviting individuals or groups with a flair for fashion or art to get involved and enter an outfit.
Isle of Man College students will be contributing to the show as part of a specially devised group project.
Doreen Dixon, one of the organisers, said: "The show is open to entries from anyone and any material can be used: fabric stained glass, paper, wood, metal, rubber, plastic, flotsam and all kinds of recycled goods.
"It only needs to be strong enough to survive the catwalk and striking enough to enhance the show."
The concept of Wearable Art began in New Zealand in 1987 and the first show in the Isle of Man took place in 2005.
It has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Fundraising manager for The Children's Centre Michelle O'Malley said: "We're so grateful that the Wearable Art Show has chosen to support us and we just hope the Manx community get behind the initiative to support them.
"On a personal note I'm also very excited to see what designs everyone comes up with so it's definitely one not to be missed."
Tickets for the live catwalk show are onsale at £6 each from Modeltech, Unit 9A, Strand Shopping Centre.
Organisers Doreen, Sue Robinson and Myra Gilbert will be at the Strand Centre, Douglas, this Saturday (March 12) from 11am to 3pm to offer advice and further information to anyone interested in participating in or attending the show.
