Vagabonds Ladies went down 42-15 at home to high flying Morpeth at Ballafletcher in RFUW Championship North Division Two.
Georgina Keyte, Diane Purvis, Kate Hall and Rachel Best all crossed for the visitors before Rachel Beckley pulled one back for Vagas leaving it 22-5 at half-time.
Vagas staged a mini revival early in the second half when Fran Hunt went over to reduce the deficit, but Morpeth pulled away and added tries from Jenny Hull, Heather Sherriff, Keyte’s second, and Elizabeth Severs.
Hunt bagged her second for Vagas but it was little more than a consolation.
