Nationalist slates Royal Wedding 'double standards'

A leading Manx nationalist says he has been left 'dumbstruck' by the Manx government's decision to go ahead with the Royal Wedding bank holiday.

Chairman of Mec Vannin Mark Kermode says the event has absolutely nothing to do with the Isle of Man.

An extra bank holiday has been declared by the British government for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29.

Mr Kermode has also hit out at what he sees as the double standards of the move:
