School "shocked and saddened" over death of pupil

BALLAKERMEEN High School has said it is shocked and saddened over the death of a pupil.

 

Jack Morrisson, a sixth form pupil at the school, died yesterday (Thursday).

 

A statement released by the school said: "We were shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Jack Morrison, a sixth form student at our school, in hospital in Liverpool.

 

"Jack was highly thought of by all who knew him and his loss is keenly felt by students and staff. At this time our thoughts are with his family, who we know very well because his father, Peter, has worked at Ballakermeen as a teacher for many years."

 

The cause of death has not been revealed.
