IT’S GOING to be a good weekend for getting out and about and enjoying outdoor activities, judging by the weather forecast from the Met Office at Ronaldsway.
So, if you're into sailing, gardening, walking or any form of sports, then this is definitely a weekend for you.
Calm weather, no rain and some sunshine are the three main features of the forecast, with the early part of next week looking good at the moment for some decent spells of warm sunshine.
Spring is most definitely in the air, as evidenced by the arrival during the last week of the first daffodils all over the Island, rearing their heads as the daytime temperature regularly gets closer to double figures.
“Settled and dry” is the best description of the weather we can expect - which is good news for everyone and very welcome news for those who like to enjoy the outdoor life.
The winds will also be light over the weekend, so it’s likely to be busy in the Island’s harbours - especially the marinas of Douglas and Peel. A crab bap and a cup of hot chocolate on Peel breakwater sounds just about perfect!
Our photographs taken this week show the welcome change, after a truly beautiful week’s weather. If you have any photographs we would be pleased to publish them with a credit. Send to newsroom@isleofman.com
