AN EXHIBITION designed to make Manx residents more aware of the wonders of the Isle of Man and the diverse range of activities available is to be staged by the government later this month.

Isle of Man Tourism is promoting the aptly named ‘On Your Doorstep’ exhibition, in association with 3FM, which will showcase the very best of attractions, activities and events the Isle of Man has to offer all year round, not just during the tourist season.

The event aims to encourage local people to visit the Island’s attractions, activities and events and is not only intended for residents but also to encourage friends and relatives to come over and see all that the Isle of Man has to offer.

The exhibition will take place on Saturday March 26 at the Villa Marina from 10.00am until 3.00pm with free admission. Exhibitors on the day will include adventure experiences, food producers, diving, aviation, railways, transport, heritage sites, mv Karina, museums, arts and wildlife.

There will be plenty of exclusive offers available to tempt residents to venture out and explore their Island whilst at the same time taking in its natural beauty and scenery. There will also be live music, birds of prey and face painting.

Minister for the Department of Economic Development, Allan Bell MHK, said, “The Isle of Man has a wide variety of attractions and activities for everyone to enjoy and the ‘On Your Doorstep’ exhibition will be a splendid opportunity for residents to come and talk to business representatives from all over the Island.

“There is a superb array of things to ‘see and do’ ranging from attractions and historical sites, adventure pursuits, heritage railways and numerous events taking place throughout the year.

“I hope people will take the opportunity to come along and enjoy the displays and schedule of activities taking place throughout the day and spread the word to friends and relatives so they too will visit and see everything our magnificent Island has to offer.”
