THE owner of a sentimental ring which was stolen last week is said to be "distraught".
Police are investigating after a black purse, containing the ring and other personal items, was stolen from the changing rooms in the Carrefour Gym in Douglas between 5pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday.
The ring was yellow metal with alternated blue and clear stones. It is irreplaceable because of its family connections.
Police have asked the public to be aware of anyone who is trying to sell such a ring. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Jenette Martin on 01624 631212.
