THE beautiful weather of the past weekend looks set to continue throughout this week, giving the first spell of settled weather this year.
So, in contrast to the well known phrase, March will be coming in like a lamb - and not like a lion!
The 5-day forecast from the Met Office at Ronaldsway predicts that it will, be fine, dry and sunny throughout the week, but the fine weather also comes with cold nights and overnight frost.
Driving in to work and seeing the Manx countryside in all its glory makes you realise just why the Isle of Man is so special. Far better than the dull, overcast miserable weather of last week. Give us frost and sunshine any time.
Light winds will also make it ideal for walks on the beach and a taste of a Manx spring which is now just on the horizon. The clocks go forward in four weeks’ time on Sunday, March 27th.
For those interested in astronomy, there are a number of opportunities to use the clear Manx skies to see both the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle. Details on www.heavens-above.com.
If you take any interesting pictures during the week we will be happy to publish the best. Send to newsroom@isleofman.com
