St George's were able to take advantage of a rare slip up by Old Boys at the top of the Canada Life International Premier League.

Old Boys recorded their first home draw of the season, after nine wins and a single defeat, while Geordies won 4-0 at home to St Mary's. Goals from Chris Bass, Frank Jones, Sam Caine and Callum Morrissey put St George's four points behind their Douglas rivals, with no fewer than four games in hand. Old Boys drew their game 0-0.

Peel stayed third, and did their goal-difference no harm at all, when they won 10-1 away to Douglas Royal. Danny Bell, Matthew Woods and Terry Rigaux grabbed two goals each, and the four remaing scorers were Keiron Christian, Mark Kelly, Gary Christian and Aaron Costain.

Rushen had Keiron Brown sent off after two minutes, but still managed to beat Michael 5-0. The 'ten-man team' led 3-0 at half-time, and their scorers were Mike Edge, Josh Kelly, Michael Baker, Adam Cregeen and Dicky Corrin.

In the lower-middle part of the table, Corinthians and Ayre shared the points in a 2-2 draw, and Ramsey had a 4-2 win at Gymns. Ramsey's scorers were Jamie Moffatt (2), Danny Foulis and and own goal.

The remaining Woods Cup quarter-finals took centre stage for the teams in JCK Division Two, although there were two league matches as well.

Douglas and District hauled themselves above Malew, and out of the relegation zone, when they beat the southern side 5-1. Their scorers were Richard Brant, Daniel Clague-Stewart, Ben Skelton, Paul Craig and Lawrence Looney.

The other division two game was a mid-table affair, which saw Police beat Onchan by the odd goal in seven, after being 3-2 down at half-time. Craig Cowin (2), Jamie Stoy, and Daniel Kirby on his debut scored for Police. Onchan's goals, all in the first half, came from Ali Morris, Gary Mills and Danny Bentham.

St George's closed the gap at the top of Combination One to four points, with a 3-0 win at St Mary's. Leaders Peel had the weekend off.

Union Mills maintained their two point lead over second placed St John's at the top of JCK Combination Division Two, when the two sides beat Braddan and Marown respectively.
