Big Rugby Weekend

by isleofman.com 25th February 2011

The Manx Cup Rugby semi-finals are staged on Saturday afternoon afternoon.

The closest looking game looks to be the one at Mooragh Park where Ramsey and Douglas meet.

Two weeks ago, they played out a thrilling 25-all draw in a South Lancashire & Cheshire Division Two clash.

The other tie is between Vagabonds and Manx Shield Champions Southern Nomads - this game has been switched to Ballafletcher.

In Football, Douglas Royal could be relegated from the Premier League if they lose at home to Peel and Michael win away at Rushen.

At the top, Old Boys entertain Laxey while closest rivals St. George's host St. Mary's at Glencrutchery Road.

Hockey has a big top-of-the table match in the Mixed Premier League when Bacchas "A" meet Vikings "A".

Players are reminded that they will need to use the main National Sports Centre car park due to the perimeter roadway being closed for the Manx Harriers Open meeting.....and the usual overflow facility at the back of the pub being off limits due to Quarter Bridge being closed to traffic for the weekend.
