Quarterbridge to re-open at midnight

by isleofman.com 27th February 2011

QUARTERBRIDGE will re-open at midnight tonight (Sunday) after closing early yesterday morning.

The Department of Infrastructure is in the process of completing a new road surface. It is also installing pedestrian refuge islands and signs. Road markings will also be applied.

Pedestrian access has been maintained throughout the closure and diversion and warning signs have been erected on the main roads and junctions leading to Quarterbridge to advise motorists to take an alternative route.

Traffic signals at Pulrose Bridge and Groves Road have been altered to assist with traffic flow and Saddle Road has become a clearway from its junction with New Castletown Road to Vicarage Road.

The Department of Infrastructure has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
