Island asked to support pregnancy charity

by isleofman.com 23rd February 2011

The Isle of Man is being urged to support a charity which aims to cut the rate of still births.

Every year one-in-four babies are lost during pregnancy and birth.

'Chloe's Count the Kicks Campaign' was started by Sophia Mason, who lost her daughter Chloe late on in her pregnancy.

She's urging expectant mothers to monitor their baby's movements and seek help if they feel anything's wrong.

To raise money for the cause there's a 24 hour on-line auction on March 1.

Area Fundraising Manager for the North, Heather Cook, hopes Manx people will support the cause by donating money or items.
