Debtors clampdown moves step closer

Life could about to become a lot easier for Island residents who have difficulty collecting money owed to them.

That’s after a bid to clamp down on debtors moved a step closer.

A private members bill by North Douglas MHK John Houghton has received its third reading in the House of Keys.

Mr Houghton hopes there’ll soon be more licensed debt collectors around the Island with more powers:
